It is so common when people say:
‘I’m going to start dieting on Monday’
‘I’m going to start exercising on Monday’
Fill in the blank, it could be anything.
There’s something about Mondays.
Mondays have this ‘magical power’.
I would say, why wait for Monday when we could just get started right now. Right in this moment. It is a choice that needs to be made and from there, just stick to the commitment made before.
Don’t overthink it.
Don’t analyse it.
Just do it!
My favorite one is make it ‘perfect’ before getting started.
You don’t need the perfect meal plan.
You don’t need the perfect equipment.
You don’t need the perfect gym.
You don’t need the perfect workout kit.
All you need is to take the first step.
It’s not going to be perfect at all.
But who cares.
Taking just one step will actually get you closer to your goals.
After that first step, just get prepared.
Here’s a checklist that is more likely going to get you closer to your goal. Especially if you want to lose some body fat.
