Usually, it starts like this:
“I don’t know where to start.”
“I need to get fit first before I see you.”
“I just hate the gym and exercising.”
or
“I’m afraid of what the trainer is going to do with me.”
I must say, the latter is a valid concern. However, here at Training Unity, we don’t do typical gym training.
We believe in approaching fitness with long-term thinking. Everything we do in our program serves a purpose. We teach people to move more efficiently and improve their strength, mobility, and fitness with gradual steps, encouraging longevity in exercise, nutrition, and recovery.
Here’s the thing: if training and the gym leave you sore or unable to move the next day, that is not really productive. Clients should leave the gym feeling more energized and in a better state, both physically and mentally, than before they arrived.
That’s why we like to “build” people up rather slowly, rather than going all in with full effort. Training is still a stimulus that creates stress, and our training is only as good as our ability to recover from that stress.
So, when new clients want to start with loads of training but haven’t done any exercising for years, we need to be mindful of the stress adaptation.
If you hate the gym, our fitness studio is for you. Many of our existing clients said the same thing before and now they’re enjoying our training approach. The studio is in a private property with beautiful, green surroundings, making it easier to train. Plus, you don’t need to worry about other “super fit” and annoying people showing off.
We developed a supportive culture and kept our classes intimate, where the focus is on the client and only members are allowed to attend.
