Step Two to Get Lean, Stay Strong and Feel Fantastic 

Earlier this week we shared the first step to get lean, stay strong and feel fantastic – Optimise Sleep. If you have started to follow our tips, you will be well on the way to feeling fantastic.

The second step is Nutrition.

The best way to tackle your nutrition is to eat Whole Foods, single ingredient foods that are not processed and package. Our suggestions to help you achieve this are:

  • No fast foods
  • No takeaways
  • Check the ingredients

Checking the ingredients helps give your more clarification about what you are eating. This way, you can make sure there are no additives, added sugars or hidden things in there that you that you don’t want to have with your meals.

Our next tip for Nutrition is to consume protein with every meal, especially breakfast. This will enable you to start you day packed full of protein which will keep you satiated through the first part of the day. This also helps to prevent any rises in blood sugar and helps with cravings as well.

Aim for three meals per day. Having three meals with quality nutrients, protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats will help to avoid snacking. If you need to snack, make sure you have prepared yourself couple of healthy options – maybe fruit or protein snacks. Prepping some healthy options will keep you from going for quick fixes from shops and petrol stations and all that kind of stuff.

The last tip with nutrition is to stay hydrated between your meals. It is important to only drink water between meals, not during your mealtimes and whilst you are eating. This is going to help with better absorption of the meal as when you drink during meals the digestive process is slowed down and this can lead to bloating.
